Birdland in Paradise!

At 91 years, George Shearing is also party to see if there Birdland. It's what to wish him.
George Shearing is a jazz pianist perfectly unknown to us. Just think! A pianist whose playing "percussion" is immediately recognizable, a subtle blend between Swing and Be Bop and the extensive use agreements clusters. Certainly the first pianist to develop this technique in 1937, may be due to his blindness.
This game, instantly recognizable, has been developing a software "auto arranger" Basie and which also includes Hancock. After emigrating
his native England to New York in 1947, he continues to record and his name appears on a whopping 120 discs, no less, either as a sideman, either in his name, allowing the passage of sale in 1947, 900,000 copies of his version of "September In The Rain"!
Incidentally, in 1952 he wrote a song "Lullaby Of Birdland" which became a huge success and a jazz standard, indispensable to this day.
Unfortunately, it commits an unpardonable error of taste for "the jazz intelligentsia" homegrown, drawing almost all of its repertoire of Broadway tunes and using an improvisational style that never misleads the listener with an incomprehensible language. Jazz elegant, simple and pleasurable that "feels good". And never mind the piss vinegar!
Listen again and again, the musicians of this size are, sadly, not many. And then it surely will make him happy.
