Anklets On Prostitutes?

Do not miss the inevitable!

Launching a new magazine preprints of BD is an event. For several years, the landscape of comics news is devastating effect: it remains Spirou for children Lanfeust Mag for fans of fantasy and Fluide Glacial for humor. Problem, not only do these magazines are highly targeted but they also belong to publishers (Dupuis for the first, second and sun for the last Casterman). With the inevitable , Frédéric Bosser, creator of the journal DBD , attempts a daring: to propose preprints album in preview and in full on three or four numbers. Above all, the inevitable being bound to any vendor, the proposed series will be drawn from different catalogs, which will vary the genres and themes. A priori not be published until the first books or series whose episodes can be read independently.

Question form The unavoidable is the simplest: a thematic, a short interview of author before each published title for the rest, nothing but boards BD. Roughly one third of editorial for two thirds of preprints.

air of nothing, if we do the accounts, the amateur comic a bit curious given the opportunity to discover new all very different at lower costs. Each issue costing € 6.50 and pre-published seven albums have been entirely from the 3rd issue. € 19.50 to read as many comics, hard to beat!

Personally, the first two numbers are in my PAL. From March 20, I could get into the reading of seven new titles to appear or have appeared only bookshops. Perhaps new discoveries to share in the BD Wednesday Mango ?

Go To conclude, a short overview of these preprints in the first issue:

Philip Francis and T2 by Veys and Barral (Dargaud)
Pavilion T1 black by Corbeyran and Bingono (Sun)
Shields of Mars T1 by Chillet and Gine (Glénat)
Store T1 sexual by Turf (Delcourt)

How To Disable Menu In Nero

Legends T2 Guard: Winter 1152

Winter 1152. Mice that live in the territories are a community divided between different villages built in safe places and hidden from predators. To facilitate the exchange of goods and to protect themselves, small rodents were created in ancient times an elite corps, the Guard. Its members are escorts, serve as scouts and sentries. They protect the borders and are particularly fierce fighters. Having foiled the attempted takeover of felon Midnight (in Volume 1), mice face a terrible winter. Noting the lack of food and medicines, Gwen, the matriarch of the Guard, sending eleven adventurers face the dangers of a hostile environment to ensure the faster refueling ...

David Petersen is a party any idea simple: the mouse, too small to go with other animals, have formed a community can live in total isolation. But how can they survive in a world where predators abound? Answer: Based on an elite corps desperate to protect his family. On this canvas rather brief, it has forged a coherent political and social organization while creating endearing characters to the characters well marked. Above all, he did not fall into the trap of making disneyien his narrative a trifle bland. His series aimed at children but he does not hesitate to stage a terrible battles that do not leave free the protagonists. His mice suffer, they die. Their environment is not sweet and warm, it is very rude. It is also the difference between drawing very animal oriented "youth" and the content sometimes difficult to give a stamp to these very special Legends custody.

Drawing precisely, let's talk! The author proposes a sheet size atypical, almost square. He does not hesitate to make huge spaces where details abound and above or no room is left for any error of perspective or proportion failing to jump to the reader. Result is sublime, simply. Movement the camera is incredibly fluid. Plans succeed, the more exciting one than the other. Anything goes: very close, snorkeling, diving cons, full-page illustration ... A real drawing lesson at the service of storytelling that avoids the pitfalls of pure technical demonstration. The work on the colors is also impressive. The pages are held outside in the snow are chilling and those in an obscure underground are distressing to perfection. Restitution environments based on settings is nearly perfect.

Not much to add. It's beautiful, very beautiful. Not original on the merits, of course. But perfectly clear and led in its construction. I do not know what to look like in their original volumes but for the French edition, Gallimard brought out the big game: square format, thick cardboard, map territories page, high quality paper, and bonus epilogue end authority, in short, something wonderful book.

between Tolkien and Beatrix Potter, a young comic book of exceptional quality.

PS series in 2008 won two Eisner Awards, the most prestigious American comics (the best price youth publication, Best graphics).

Computer With Coin Slot

walls, plant

Behind the walls, he yal'usine. The deafening noise, the inferno. Fatigue. The coffee and juice disgusting. Some friends too. And occasionally the satisfaction of seeing a retreat from, even if it is a mess. There are also managers, chiefs, deputy chiefs, these assholes who pretend to bring you any attention but interested only in the fact that you produce the number of documents specified in the day. At the factory, the rewards are rare. When the bike falls bay for example. Better, if we bribe the adjuster with some sweets for him to do the repairs last, we can gain two hours. Finally, the factory, the ideal would be to leave. But how, when there is nothing in his hands, not a diploma?

A man wearing a wry look on his status as a worker. Not necessarily anger or protest, he says, simply. He reviewed a few moments forts are shaking up the humdrum as the strike or open houses. It also focuses on his life outside the factory: a woman, he probably never loved. A teacher who sexually fills. And then the image of the father, who died recently.

The text of Robert Piccamiglio speaks to me. I had the chance to spend some months at the factory to pay for my studies. I say lucky because nothing has given me more desire to succeed in the competition which today make me a servant of business that satisfies. I remember waking in the middle of the night to meet, at dawn, eyes glued, standing before a machine that not waiting for you by asking you how you go to hang on for eight hours. And these workers, or expansive taciturn, angry or a little neurasthenic, most endearing.

Far from the clichés by journalists, speeches formatted policies and trade unionists, Robert Piccamiglio, who spent more than thirty years at the factory, walks the reader through the loneliness and anguish of the worker. Proletarian literature like no more in the tradition of the great old Navel and Poulaille and head.

walls, plant Robert Alexie, Alpheus Publishing, 2010. 220 pages. 19.90 euros.

The more info: R. Piccamiglio had published a text entitled Chronicles first years of plant Editions Albin Michel in 2002. The back cover goes with any comments: The rain and cold of early morning, the heady smell of the coffee machine, a slow business day, waiting for the weekend and holidays, photos naked girls that are looking to think of something else ... The plant which Robert talks Piccamiglio is not the journalists, sociologists or bosses, or even that of "workers", as union leaders say. It is an immense space and hostile devours a third of the life of a man, a noise zone, anxiety and boredom, he'll have to fight every day, wait, perchance to dream .. . These pages loneliness, rebellion, secret love, too, evoke a world totally unknown to most of us. Because it almost never happens, because the hum of machinery and fatigue, a worker becomes writer.

Sir Dimitri

Yvette and Jules chickens go for the first time on holiday in the seaside Once on the beach, the small farmer instructions are clear: "I do not want to see anyone get away from the beach, we're not going in rocks, and when we no longer walk in the water, turned around and come back .... " But Yvette and Jules will disobey and cross the rocks to find shells. When the tide rises, small chickens are trapped by the flood. They owe their salvation to an albatross and a whale ... singer

Through a simple story, Isabella embarks Bonameau its readers a walk along the way which should delight. These chickens are disobedient greeted with uncommon kindness by Dimitri, the whale with a big heart. The latter symbolizes the womb and cozy protector in which nothing can happen. Solidarity, mutual support and kindness, here filigree themes addressed by this small text.

An ideal way for children beginning to read alone. The difference between dialogue and narration is well marked, while the line spacing and font size are ideal. The downside, however, numerous hyphenation of words at the end of the line can be a handicap for those who still experience some difficulty deciphering.

Anyway, the maritime adventures of Jules and Yvette would no doubt satisfy fans of the open ocean.

Sir Dimitri Bonameau Isabella, School of Leisure, 2011. 46 pages. 7.50 euros. From 6 years if you like to read alone.

The more info: Sir Dimitri is the third adventure of the twins and Yvette Jules . The two previous labeled Wolf who ate soup and silly strawberry appeared in 2000 and 2007 respectively.

Masterbation Among Muslim Ladies

All Matha at T1 and T2 war

1967. Anthony's 16, goes to school and lives in Paris. Guitarist in a group of friends, he would go camping with them on the island of Oleron. Knowing full well that his parents will never let go alone, he convinced them to spend several weeks on the island in a hut belonging to his uncle. But no sooner arrived at the scene, Antoine leaves and queue at the campsite. He will spend the best summer of his life with Christine, his first love.

Jean-Claude Denis returns with a hint of nostalgia about a key moment in his youth. An initiation story or teen is being built between rejection of the parental figure, yearning for freedom and questioning his future. And then of course there are the first stirrings, still very chaste and very far from the sexual revolution of the 70s.

The author claims the side innocuous, mundane, these memories. It reveals its history through successive touches, a bit like the Impressionists. Singing around a fire, share some intimate moments with his beloved, face Aboriginal youth who want to pay the class Paris ... The skits succeed and ultimately draw a picture while simplicity.

Graphically, Jean-Claude Denis offers a clear line fairly standard. His work on shadows and light is impressive cons. Time requires a major effort is made on attire: shirt, t-shirt and black vest for boys, small top, one piece bathing suit or navy sweater for girls.

A diving beetle full of nostalgia no doubt recall the many memories younger pensioners. A pivotal period of 20th century France, between the thirty glorious recklessness and social upheavals to come.

Body Aches When I Drink

Dances

A man surprises a burglar and the situation turns drama. Another, sure to be seriously ill, think back to the days of his father. The son of a senator involved in a homophobic attack one night of drinking. A trainee journalist must write his first obituary ... Six new at all, interspersed with poems and aphorisms. Many variations on complicated human relations where the confrontation is never far away.

It hurts my stomach to admit it but the vast collection of Sherman Alexie has disappointed me. For the first time I did not close a book of the author, saying that he has once again demonstrated an exceptional talent. There was Indian Blues and Indian Killer his masterpieces. There was Phoenix Arizona , Life in the kits and Ten Little Indians , dazzling new collections. And then there was crying The first lost , the most fabulous novel by children's literature that I read in the last ten years. But here, with these Dances war, magic does not operate. A lack of binding between each text. Some appear anecdotal ( The Ballad of Paul Nevertheless, Fearful Symmetry ), other caricatures ( The senator's son). And insertion of new poems between no added value.

Fortunately, not everything is disposable. There are a few nuggets to be found where the Sherman Alexie we love. Between humor and anger, self-deprecating and dazzling literary. The news that gives its title to the collection is undoubtedly one of the best author ever wrote. Returns an Indian on his father's death, presumably anything but a model for him. The text concludes with these sublime sentences: "I miss that bastard of alcohol. It's always the man I was most disappointed that I feel closest . "

Dance War still remains throughout my first disappointment with Sherman Alexie. But finally whatever. There will always be a place in my library for future books by this author rightly regarded as one of the most talented of his generation.

Dances war, Sherman Alexie, Albin Michel, 2011. 195 pages. € 19.00.

The more info: Dances war won the 2010 Pen-Faulkner Award from the foundation of the same name to the American author of the best fiction of the year. Topping the list since 1981, some big names become unavoidable: Philip Roth (3 times), TC Boyle, James Salter, Don DeLillo, Richard Ford, Michael Cunningham or John Updike.

Application For Disconnect Telephone Line

Birdland in Paradise!

At 91 years, George Shearing is also party to see if there Birdland. It's what to wish him.
George Shearing is a jazz pianist perfectly unknown to us. Just think! A pianist whose playing "percussion" is immediately recognizable, a subtle blend between Swing and Be Bop and the extensive use agreements clusters. Certainly the first pianist to develop this technique in 1937, may be due to his blindness.
This game, instantly recognizable, has been developing a software "auto arranger" Basie and which also includes Hancock. After emigrating
his native England to New York in 1947, he continues to record and his name appears on a whopping 120 discs, no less, either as a sideman, either in his name, allowing the passage of sale in 1947, 900,000 copies of his version of "September In The Rain"!
Incidentally, in 1952 he wrote a song "Lullaby Of Birdland" which became a huge success and a jazz standard, indispensable to this day.
Unfortunately, it commits an unpardonable error of taste for "the jazz intelligentsia" homegrown, drawing almost all of its repertoire of Broadway tunes and using an improvisational style that never misleads the listener with an incomprehensible language. Jazz elegant, simple and pleasurable that "feels good". And never mind the piss vinegar!
Listen again and again, the musicians of this size are, sadly, not many. And then it surely will make him happy.

The garden Lili

The little mouse and his friend Henry Lili grow vegetables all year round. January is the month of cauliflower, leeks that of February, March ... the salads Both mice bêchent, protect, weed, water or gather. Finally Lili especially because Henry is a gardener rather clumsy and not very courageous. Finally, toddlers are discovering, in order, every month of the year and twelve of The most common vegetables.

Malice, joy and good humor through the album. The construction is simple and repetitive: a double page per month, almost no minimalist decor and artwork, but very telling where each vegetable is recognizable at first glance. But what makes this book truly unique to children is that the author reveals his secrets, and especially the technique she uses to represent the vegetables. The final endpapers explain very clearly the steps to follow (I will not be revealed!) And everyone can reproduce it without problem.

Spring will soon point the tip of his nose. The garden Lili album is ideal to help toddlers to identify pleasure with the different vegetables that can be found in the garden throughout the seasons.

The garden Lili, Lucie Albon, publishing Momentum Green, 2011. 40 pages. 10.00 euros. From 2-3 years.

The more info: Le Potager Lili is the second book featuring Lili and Henry. The first album of his endearing little mice came out last year and is entitled Mouse Lili.

Nerf Gun Birthday Cakes

Doggy Bags T1

A young woman is hounded by the end of a concert by werewolves bikers. A killer pledge to fight against the Yakuza with a baby strapped to her back. In the Arizona desert, a cop chasing a robber of gas station. Three totally different stories about thirty pages each scenario where one comes down to attitude where the expression of feelings: fear, escape, revenge, a sense of duty ...

After Ernest and Rebecca and Memories Mamette , envy m 'has come to do the splits (at reading comics not true because otherwise I can not tell you the damage, but that's another story). So put a full collection of sweat and testosterone, a collection for guys, the true and tattooed (not at all big for me).

Doggy Bags is inspired Double Feature, These sessions are typical of 70's cinema where you could see two B-movies for the price of one. The more recent references are apparently looking for next Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez (Kill Bill or Machete). I say apparently because I am a true nozzle at film and I've seen any of the aforementioned films. For me, this collection is closer to the comics like Tales from the Crypt . Anyway, like any self-respecting collective work, Doggy Bags suffers from some unevenness of quality. The first story is rather weak level script and is read as quickly qu'oubliée. The second proposes a heroine of greater psychological depth, but the whole is a bit too chatty for my taste. Note nonetheless for fans of Freak's Squeel Florent Maudoux it portrays the mother of Little Panda, one of the leading characters of his favorite series. Finally, the duel in the desert of Arizona designed by Run, which almost single-handedly justify the purchase of the specification. The atmosphere is dark, twilight, the pervasive violence and final spin very well found. A treat!

Graphically, if the features of the three authors are different, the layout is highly dynamic with each dishevelling framing and cutting without any downtime. I can not resist quoting a sentence from the Chronicle published last month in the monthly Casemate that summarizes the album better than any big speech: "Forget teas quiet night, Doggy Bags reads a beer hand. " And probably also with the proper soundtrack, namely a grimy rock'n'roll and dripping yelled by Lenny, the lead singer of Motorhead.

You'll understood Doggy Bags does not lace. The model is particularly good with the beautiful cover vintage, small advertisements offset that open each story and post detachable end of the book. The object is beautiful and pleasant to take charge. Afterwards, in terms of content, say it is aimed at informed readers. An original editorial project in any case that deserves some attention here as long as you love comics in all its diversity.
